Many health concerns today can be linked to stress. Stress can play a major part in reducing one's quality of life. Breathwork, meditation and even "Brethercise" (or breathwork-exercise) can help relieve stress.
That's why I very much enjoy teaching breathwork and meditation. Some people have a preconceived notion that breathwork or meditation is not for them. Perhaps there are other ways to do breathwork and/or mediation that might help anyone and everyone feel better and have a higher quality of life.
On one level, breathwork can help one connect mind and body more effectively in order to learn dance or to perform any physical activity better. Also, one might connect mind, body and spirit to help with healing and spiritual growth. As a daily practice, breathwork and/or meditation can be wonderful preventative maintenance for ones health, whether from getting more oxygen to clean out any lactic acid from a workout or helping to align the body for best performance to pain relief.
I figure, one can choose to give oneself loving caring attention everyday, or not. I believe in the great health and great feelings of a body forged by love and care.
